A picture says a thousand words....

For all of you "new" moms out there here is a post just for you! Well by new, I mean a new baby, so if you are a first time mom, or are on number 5, you can do this with your little ones. The idea is not purely mine. In fact my stepmother did this with my younger brother and sister and when I saw it I thought it was brilliant. Not only is it easy, but it is fun and years later you can look back on this project and all of the lovely memories will flood back to you. It is as simple as taking a picture...well many pictures. On each of your child's monthly birthdays you take a picture. For example: my son was born on July 19, 2011. On August 19th I took his 1 month old photo. Every month I did this, and recently we celebrated his first birthday. Looking back at all of the pictures it is incredible to see how much he has grown. From a tiny 6lb 1.3 oz newborn, to an almost 30lb toddler, the photos are truly amazing. I am so happy I did this project with my son, and will continue to do it with any other children I have later on down the road. Here is how Noah's turned out.

Looking back at these pictures shows me so many things. Of course I see the growth of my beautiful son, but I am reminded of many precious moments. I am so happy I took each and every one of these pictures.  I have so many pictures of Noah but these tell a story all their own, and one day when he is old enough he will look back and see just how much he grew and I can share all of the wonderful moments with him.
